GOVERNMENT HOUSE,
HONG KONG. 4th July, 1929.
DAVIS, Satu
RECEIVEO
5 AUG 1929
COL. OFFICE
My Lord,
With reference to Mr. Amery's despatch of
the 10th of April, No.72, relative to the question
whether action can be taken to prevent the sale of
water from the Tai Koo Sugar Refining Company,
Limited, from their reservoir in the Colony, I
have the honour to ask if Mr. Burchell is prepared
to give the reasons for his view as stated in his
letter of the 25th of March to Mr. H.G. Bushe. It
would of course be understood that he would do so by
way of professional advice. Alternatively, I
would suggest that Mr. Burchell should place his
arguments before counsel and obtain a further opinion
from them.
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient, humble servant,
名
Ermen to
Governor, &c.
